FUNCTIEOMSCHRIJVING

To help build and maintain this home automation system, we are looking for a Software Engineer. As part of the IoT team of 6 engineers, you will:

• Develop, expand and improve the IoT infrastructure
• Write application code in Python on both edge devices and cloud applications
• Contribute to shaping our integrated Smart Living concepts
• Build feature-rich APIs for our frontend applications as well as third parties
• Our cloud infrastructure runs on Microsoft Azure. The in-house developed systems require a CI/CD-first approach, our ideology is to leverage as much as possible the PaaS services of the cloud platform.

PROFIEL

• You have an IT-related education and/or worked several years with Python
• You deliver code changes together with well-written unit tests and documentation
• You are interested in the concepts of Internet of Things and home automation
• You are an effective communicator within a small team

• Knowledge of following topics is beneficial:

  • Django & the Django Rest Framework, FastAPI
  • Microsoft Azure Services, Terraform
  • PostgreSQL, Azure Data Explorer
  • Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Git source control
• It is certainly not required to have all these skills. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and who is not afraid of the unknown.
