AI Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a T-shaped AI Engineer with consulting experience to join our Software & Platform Engineering (S&PE) capability within Accenture Technology. In this role, you will combine strong technical expertise in AI/ML engineering with consulting skills to design and deliver AI-driven solutions for our clients.

You will guide a small team of engineers, ensure high-quality delivery, and collaborate with the AI Lead Architect to help define our AI adoption strategy, governance, and reusable assets.

Your job

As an AI Engineer, you will:

• Lead a small team of AI engineers and analysts, ensuring high-quality delivery of AI/ML components within client projects.
• Support the AI Lead Architect in defining and implementing the AI adoption strategy within S&PE.
• Design, build, and deploy AI/ML applications and systems using Python, leveraging AI tools, cloud AI services, and application pipelines (cloud or on-prem).
• Apply generative AI models as part of end-to-end solutions, including deep learning, chatbots, and image processing.
• Work with various AI models including generative AI, deep learning, and neural networks and explore innovative applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions effectively into existing systems and pipelines.
• Partner with client stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business needs into AI solutions.
• Apply consulting skills to frame problems, explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and guide clients on AI adoption.
• Contribute to shaping the AI skills base within S&PE through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
• Develop technical accelerators, reusable assets, and lessons learned from delivery to support our AI offering.

Job Qualifications

Your background

• Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI/Data Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or data engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Python (Programming Language).
• Strong understanding of machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.).
• Experience deploying solutions on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Strong consulting and communication skills.
• Experience in leading or mentoring junior engineers.
• Fluency in English and French and/or Dutch
• Experience in responsible AI practices, bias detection, or compliance (nice to have).
• Knowledge of data engineering tools (nice to have).

Certifications

• Cloud certifications (Azure AI Engineer Associate, AWS Machine Learning Specialty, or equivalent).
• Python-related professional certifications (plus).
• Scrum Master or Agile certification (advantage).
