 Job description

 

 Minimum qualifications:

• Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or other Engineering fields
• Strong Python programming skills including the Python scientific stack (i.e. SciPy, Pandas, Numpy, etc.)
• Experience with database languages (SQL, MongoDB)
• Experience with data analysis
• Experience with algorithmic coding
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) French or Dutch is a plus
• Open-minded and with a great sense of humour

 

 Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in working with large scale data systems for acquisition, storage, and management of complex data flow
• Experience with code testing
• Experience with the standard machine learning techniques and popular ML libraries
• Affinity with DevOps and/or DataOps topics
• Relevant internship or work experience

 

 Nice to have:

• Experience with open source dev
• Experience with Cloud platforms (GCP, AWS or Azure)
• Experience with deep learning techniques for image and natural language processing

The retail industry produces a tremendous amount of content, from images to texts. We are now looking for a new colleague ready to develop the next generation of insights combining business and programming expertise.

 

 Our Data Science & Data Processing team is looking for a python developer with two or more years worth of experience in Big Data, Engineering or Software industries. As a python developer at RETVIEWS well expect you to build and maintain data processing algorithms and pipelines for production environment, develop tools and support other teams at RETVIEWS. Youll be managing multiple projects at once, so youll need to be organised, resourceful and result driven to make technical expertise at the company move forward.

 

 RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

• Write effective, scalable code
• Test and debug programs
• Improve functionality of existing systems (data processing algorithms and pipelines)
• Develop tools to help other teams of the company dealing with our data
• Work alongside the team on maintaining a healthy code base
• Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions
