Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development of our
machine data platforma vital tool that collects signals from Proton Therapy Sites globally. This platform supports operations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of our systems, directly impacting the delivery of life-saving cancer treatments. With over 700 employees relying on this in-house solution daily, your work will empower teams to enhance patient care. Future developments will extend this platforms capabilities to customers and external partners, further expanding its global reach.Guided by a product owner and technical lead, you will tackle an exciting roadmap of future developments, collaborating with other engineers to ensure technical success and alignment with business needs. Challenges we trust you withAs a
Full Stack Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the technical software design
- Developing production-grade code
- Creating customized screens on the frontend
- Implementing business logic on the backend
- Ensuring sufficient code testing coverage
- Monitoring and operating the solution in production
- Documenting the solution technically
- Supporting the analysis and resolution of issues during the products lifecycle
What we valueYou have:
- A masters degree in computer science or equivalent experience in software development
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer
- Expertise in developing web applications, with proficiency across a full development stack, including:
- Kotlin/Java 17+ (Micronaut/Springboot, Gradle/Maven)
- Experience with container technologies (Docker and Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure technology
- Experience using Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)
- Proficiency in standard development workflows (Git, code reviews, continuous integration and deployment)
- A strong sense for UI/UX design to create human-centric interfaces
- Knowledge of DevOps concepts and various programming models/paradigms (event-driven architecture, SOA, asynchronous vs synchronous)
- Agile and Scrum certifications (a plus)
- Good communication skills in English
