From journalistic support to advanced research and product tools, we build powerful and reliable AI solutions that are used daily by editorial teams, internal stakeholders and directly by our subscribers.That is why we are looking for an AI Engineer to technically shape, build and further industrialize our (Gen)AI solutions.About the role AI workflows & agents: You design and implement AI workflows and agentic flows (tools, function calling, orchestration) and integrate them with our products, internal systems and datasets.RAG & context pipelines: You build and optimize retrieval pipelines (chunking, embeddings, ranking, context injection) to maximize AI relevance in a news context and reduce hallucinations.Evaluation, monitoring & LLMOps: You set up tracing and evaluation (quality, latency, cost, errors) and use these insights to continuously improve models and prompts.Reliability & guardrails: You implement safety mechanisms, fallback strategies and, where needed, human-in-the-loop flows.Tooling & technology choices: You explore new AI tools and frameworks and help decide what we build in-house versus what we integrate.Your profile Strong software engineering skills and experience with AI platforms and API integrations (e.g., OpenAI, ElevenLabs, n8n).Proven experience with AI agents and/or workflows, including prompt engineering.Familiar with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), LLM tracing and evaluation.Knowledge of multimodal AI (audio, video) is a plus.You are a problem solver who stays calm in complex technical environments.Affinity with (news) media, research or content-driven products is a plus.You communicate fluently in English and Dutch and/or French.Our offer At Mediafin, you will join a successful media company.
